Easter

 Happy Easter!!!

 

With Cj being away, we decided that the Easter bunny would be stopping at Grammy's for Bella's Easter hunt.

 

So we al lwent over there for lunch and hunt.

 

The easter bunny Left Bella a special note and clues, first of telling her were her basket was, followed by her eggs.

Bella got a pile of small little easter eggs, that all went in to Pop's special lolly jar so she can have one when she goes to visit.

 

And at the end of the hunt there was a special Easter Bunny, 2x Singlets with matching undies and a kiddy camera for Bella.

 

And Nathan got a spiky ball to play with

 

Natey just chilling as every one was off hunting with Bella.

 

 

We then all sat down for a nice big BBQ feast!

 

After lunch, Bella got another Easter Egg, this timef rom grammy!

 

She did really well with sharing as she passed it around the table letting everyone have some

 

 

 

Natey got some cool wooned fridge magnet, clips with Pirates on them.

 

Bella ended up getting to have a sleep over at Grammys house!

 

On saturday Bella, Aunty Harlee and Aunty Faith all went swimming, and then Natey and I joined them for lunch down at a local cafe.

 

Bella, Natey and i then headed off to Caelyn-May's 5th Birthday party!

 

Bella had a ball playing with her cousins! Although i diidnt get nay pictures of them. And it was lovely catching up with everyone.

And on Sunday we did our usual family gathering at my uncles house, for Easter Sunday Lunch, hunt and Chocolate mousse!

 

Bella once again tired her self out running around after our little cousins Esme and Lucie! with lots of lego, jumping on the tramp, eating and offcourse her quick swim in the cold pool!

 

We got home and cause we were all full from the big lunch it was straight to bed!

 

We are all a bit tired today! Bella's mood and behaviour is abit all over the places as she comes off her 3 day sugar fix!

 

So we are spending Easter monday at home catching up on housework!

Natey Matey Potatey

We had an appointment with the pead earlier in the week, as he has been losing weight instead of gaining it.

And one of the things that came from this appointment was to do with Nathan's snoring, and sounding congested etc.

 

So on thurday morning the homecare nurse popped over with a oxygen monitor for him to wear that night, which will monitr his oxygen levels over night to make sure he wasnt dropping oxygen.

 

Natey was sound asleep when i first put him in his cot

 

Looking all peacefull, then it was hte fun job of hooking the monitor to his foot and through his sleeping bag.

 

he stayed alseep while i did this.

 

 The glowing red foot remided me of when he was first born.

 

Natey then woke as i was leaving the room and took just over an hour to get back to sleep again, with sore teeth and an odd thing stuck to his foot.

He even managed to take it off his foot completely, so then got re stuck on with more tape and a sock!

 

We will hopefully ehre back about the resulta this week, if his oxygen level was stable good, if it has been dropping we will be on a list to see the ENT and get the camera down his neck to see what is going on.

Kindergarten

Bella started Kindy two week ago, she was very excited and a little nervous on the first day.

 

But it wasnt long untill i was allowed to leave.

 

She has made a few friends, and loves doing all the painting and art work.

 

She is also very excited by the boat they have, and loves telling everyone if she did or didnt play in the boat that day!

What I have been doing!

So as mentioned in a few posts now, due to Nathan's weight gain issues, and being Dairy free I am having to make 95% of his food.

 

 

He is currently having:

Fruit - Apple, Banana, Guava, Strawberries, Apricot, Mango, Peaches, Pears

Veges - Avocado, Potato, Kumara, Pumpkin, Silverbeet, Carrots, Brocolli, Cauliflower

Meat - Beef, Chicken, Chicken Liver

Custard - Made with his special formula.

 

And then he has it blended to a smoorth puree using his Pepti-Junior Formula, and adding Oil.

 

Nathan has currently taken over our freezer!

Lucky we have a deep freezer too!

 

I am Pureeing, then either adding oil and mixing to gether for meals whcih get frozen in lil square Watties baby food containers (they are really easy to get the food out as have silicone bases!) or they are being frozen in to ice cubes (because we dont have any, and didnt wanna go buy some am using my parents spare ones, which also happen to be hearts, fishes, beer bottles, stars etc!)

 

Once frozen:

The ice cubes go in to the resealable plastic bags, (1 per flavour/type of food)

And the Meals gets pushed out and put in to cheap reusable plastic containers and labelled.

 

So this is what it is currently looking like!

 

 

 



Dinner

Tonight at dinner time I was taking a couple photo's of a very messy boy!

 

 

 

Bella then asked me to take a photo of her eating her dinner like a good girl to show Daddy!

 

 

So look at your good girl Daddy!



 

 

 I was then TOLD that i had to take a photo of her dinner as well!

 

Bella has picked on to either me taking photo's and blogging, facebooking or sending to Daddy or me talking about it!

 

As it is her new faveourite thing...

 

No matter what she is doing i get,

 

'Mummy where is your iphone, take a picture, show it to Dadddy'

 

Which you will notice as more posts get created.



Nate and his Glow worm

Natey

 

 

 

Nathan absolutly loves this glow worm!

 

Everynight at bedtime i have to give his belly a squeeze to play the music while I get Nathan changed.

The another squeeze as I get Nate in to his sleep sack and gives him his dummy,

and he will always turn and stare at her,

And then finally i have to play her one more time while i leave,

During this final time Nathan usually roles in and cuddles her!

 

It is so cute!

 

We orginally brought Bella this doll,

althought she wasnt very interested in it.

At about 1-15 we showed her it,

And she just started screaming and balling her eyes out,

She didnt like the face glowing!

 

After that she never wanted to be near it!!

 

So when I was setting up Nathan's Bassinet I had placed the glow worm in there waiting for him.

 

Bella decided that it was hers and she was obsessed with it.

 

Untill one morning i went into Nathan's room, and Bella had given it to Nate to keep him company and sing to him.

 

Which i htought was VERY sweet!

Mmmm Finger Food

I notice that finding time to come on and post is rare, so when I do I usually have like 5 posts to do... Sorry!

 

 

Due to Dietitan's request we are starting to give Nathan some fingerfood as well as his solids.

 

 

To night we started this over dinner time, he had Cucumber, Avocado and A Wedge.

 

 

 

Nathan was often more interested in what was on Bella's Plate!

Bella didnt like Natey struggling so kept holding it for him... very cute...

 

 

Nathan was having issues with te cucmber, so got his bib in to help!

 

 

Just a cute on of Nathan rocking his New bumbo...

 

I had to find a new seat for him,

He isnt allowed in the high chair due to low muscle tone and cant support himself enough,

 He cant sit in his wooden corner chair with tray that the physical therapists gave us, as he is working on to many muscles so cant concentrate on eating.

And finally cant eat finger food in the blue padded support chair as doesnt have a tray!

 

So Bumbo it is!

 

It has actually been great as Natey been teething recently and not tooo fond of me leaving, so while i fold the washing i stick him in the Bumbo on the grass and he is very happy!

 

 

 



Im a BIG girl NOW!

Little Miss Muffet is nearly 3.5years old...

(somedays life before kids feels like a distant memory... Others not that long ago)

 

 

And what a BIG girl she is!

 

She has grown and developed in to such a lovely sweet little girl.

 

 

And now my baby girl is FULLY out of nappies!

 

Bella was out of day nappies 1 week before she turned 2...

 

I have been putting of the night one a bit...

But since christmas we have been talking to her alot about waking up dry and going toilet etc, and she has been having quite a few dry nappies!

 

But that big move to undies was one I wasnt overly keen on...

 

However running out of nappies and forgetting to buy them when out shopping is a real motivator...

 

Bella was a bit nervous as she didnt want to wet her bed,

We talked together about how it was ok if she did. she just had to come get Mummy and Mummy would take of her Brolly sheet and replace it for a new one...

 

She seemed happy with this..

 

Tonight is night 3...

 

Bella has had NO accidents thus far,

 

She is just as proud of herself as I am...

Daddy!

Hi Daddy

Today I had Isla over.

Mummy printed us out some cool colouring-in pages.

Isla had Wiggles on hers, which she said was for Joel.

I chose Tinkerbell...

I coloured it in for you Daddy :-D

But I also really liked the one Mummy was colouring in,

so Mummy gave it to me to finish...

It is also for you!



Daddy, when I stayed at Aunty Harlee's on Saturday she helped me write my name.

I wanted to write you a message

so I told Mummy what I wanted to say

and she wrote it on a piece of paper for me to copy.

I wrote it just for you!

If you can't quite read it, it says

After I wrote this it was my bedtime but I woudn't go to bed until I'd hung this message alongside the pictures of you.

Little Cuties!!!

Mmmm Toes... Monkey Toes

Natey loves his toes and can spend ages chewing on them.

Like most babies, he very flexible but it's still funny to catch him with his legs bent up to his mouth all the time!

I swear that was how he positioned himself in my belly for the last few months of the pregnancy, judging by the kicks I got. 
Even one of Nates very first pictures show him like this!

(Just a pre-warning that I will be including a picture below of Nate taken just after he was pulled from my belly - potentially a little gruesome for some!)



CJ and I have always talked about from birth, Nate has had little monkey toes.

While we were still in hospital after his birth, the little guy wouldn't grab CJ's finger with his hand like most babies do - rather he would reach out with his little monkey toes!



Often I watch him as he plays on his mat and if he cant reach any toys with his hands he won't care - he will play using his feet instead!

The other day I put him under his play gym, purposefully away from his loose toys so he could watch himself in the mirror etc. 

I came back to check on him as I could hear him complaining a bit.  And no wonder he sounded frustrated when I found him like this...

The little monkey had found his rings with his feet and had been trying to move them up to his hands.  Unfortunately they ended up caught on his feet instead!

Or atleast the only smile Bella wanted to give!

 

On a side note:

 

Its so quite and peacefull at the moment, Managed to catch up on my Blog's without interruptions, thinking i mite go have my usual late lunch, and today very late breakfast and put my feet up for a while. Cherish the silence...

 

 

Bella is having an afternoon nap... which is coninciding with Nates.

 

 

Bella's sleeping patterns have not been to good, and have had a couple of nights waking up to feet in my ribs without knowing she had climbed in my bed. But last night was by far the worst as she woke 3 hours after she went to bed, but woke up wide awake and took 2 hours to go back to sleep! so today's behaviour has not been very good.
