Bye Bye Daddy!

Today is the the day Daddy/CJ deploys for his 4 month trip to Australia and Asia.

 So today is the day I have decided to start this blog, Making it easier for him to keep up to date with pictures or things happening in the kids lives, fingers crossed I manage to keep up todate!

 

When Bella woke up this morning Daddy had something special for her.
He gave her a Teddy that is wearing the Ratings formal rig (which is the formal uniform CJ wears).
He told her that if she is wanting to cuddle Daddy, she can cuddle the bear instead which Bella was very excited about!
As well as a picture montage of photos of him for next to her bed. Bella loved this and sat with him talking about each photo.

 

 

It was then time to head to ship.

We all went down and stood around giving cuddles etc on the flight deck.

Bella had lots of fun chasing her little friend around while Nathan took the oppurtunity to have a sleep in the front pack.

 

We were given maps showing the passages and port visits as well as all the dates for where his ship TE MANA will be.

 

 

 

The plan is that when Daddy leaves a port, Bella can place a stampover it with hte idea that it will be counting down till Daddy returns.

 

Bella was such a strong little girl and didnt get upset as Daddy said his last goodbye's or when the ship sailed away, just enjoyed getting lots of cuddles, kisses and attention,

and stealing his hat!

 

Becuase we tell Bella 'Daddy is sleeping on the boat' she has been asking lots of questions about his bed,

Aswell as being concerned that he didnt have a pillow,

So yesterday CJ took her down to show her his bed,

or as Bella likes to point out

'No mummy it is his Pit, In his Mess!'

She loves that he has his Cars duvet, and was telling everyone how her Daddy had the talking cars bed!

Bella loved watching the tug boat, as it pulled the ship out from the dock.

 

 

And then it was finally time to wave Bye Bye to Daddy's Ship.
He unfortunatly coudn't stand on the side to wave good bye.
 After i explained to Bela why her daddy wasnt one of the men standing o nthe side she replied with,
  'ok, but daddy is still waving at me.'

and will miss you even more!
